A Heat Stroke

I'm 31 weeks pregnant and I definitely feel it.  When people ask how I'm feeling, I typically have the same answer each time.  I feel fine, other than getting tired, bad skin, and my back hurts.  Seriously nothing in the grand scheme of things.  However, if you would have asked today, I would say I'm at the point in my pregnancy where I'm starting to get very hot.  I've heard that when you are pregnant you can feel very hot when everyone else feels comfortable.  Last night I woke up drenched in sweat.  It was not pretty.  Today, I was warm all day.  I really thought it was because I was pregnant.  Then I walked by our thermostat.

It said 78 degrees!  I'm not hot because I'm pregnant, I'm hot because our heat was on, not our air conditioning!  Well, at least it's back to the same answer.  I feel fine, other than being tired, bad skin, and an aching back...

Busy but Very Fun Weekend!

The first weekend of October was a very busy one for us.  We had great company, a wonderful baby shower, and Jay completed the Lake Lanier sprint triathlon.  My parents flew into town on Friday.  On Saturday, my best friend Lauren along with Jay's sisters threw me a beautiful shower.  It was so nice to have my family and friends there.  The girls did a great job and had the guests paint bibs that we can use when the baby comes.  Very cute!  We also received some amazing gifts.

After the shower, my parents spent the day with us before heading out on Sunday morning.  When I got back from the airport Jay headed out for his triathlon.  I wasn't a very good wife because I stayed home instead of going to cheer him on.  Other than Jay nearly drowning (his words, not mine) he did great and finished with a good time.  I'm very proud of him!

I wasn't there to take pictures but I think this link shows him throughout the race.  He's PIN R3346, S1130, S1311:
