Tonight we ordered Chinese. I ordered my usual, Chicken and Broccoli. The plan was to share my chicken with John Henry and he could have left over green beans (which is one of his favorites). The plan was going fine until I offered him some of my broccoli. He ended up eating ALL of my broccoli. I got one piece. ONE piece and he had the rest. Since he took all of my broccoli, I took his Oreos. I guess it's a fair trade!

BIG Day
Today was a big day in our house for three reasons:
1. Schuler slept in a sleep sack and not a swaddle
2. Schuler and John Henry got a play set in the back yard
3. John Henry went potty in the big potty at school!!!
I doubt that 1 and 3 will be regular occurrences for some time, but it made for a great day today.

Catch Up
So I have lots of posts that are in draft format and I will finalize and publish soon. I promise I'll cover Christmas, Schuler's monthly updates, and more. I'm trying, I really am!

Déjà vu ???
Does this look familiar?
It's Schuler sleeping in the soft toy "pit" on his first day of daycare. Where have you seen this before, you ask?
Oh, when John Henry was in the infant class. Same soft toy "pit".
Gotta love it!

Not working
How do you know time out doesn't work for your child? I think it's safe to say it doesn't work when your child comes up, smacks you on the arm/leg/face, and then says, "I want a time out". And it's not that he wants to sit in a chair to have a quiet moment to himself. Once he's in time out he spends the entire time screaming and crying, "NO time out, NO time out!" After time out he apologizes and gives us a hug. However, it's not long until the process repeats itself. Time out is not working...
