Our Long Weekend

We LOVE long weekends.  We especially love them when there is more play than work that happens.  Although Jay and his dad worked on the fence and I did some laundry, we spent the majority of our weekend having fun.  It was great and all of our fun seemed to be documented by pictures.  Shocking, I know!

Friday
We kicked off the weekend at Somerset pool with our friends Marc, Leslie, Emma and Max.  John Henry is two months older than Max but you would never know it based on Max's size.
Enjoying his new favorite treat, Mum Mums.
Dirty but at least he can eat it without my help!
Saturday
Jay needed to get some exercise so we went to the river to run and walk.  John Henry showed Jay that although the sweat band is good in theory, it looks silly on.
After all that exercise we headed to the Calvert's pool for a little R&R.  Aren't these boys sweet?
Happy Baby!
John Henry loves the girls!
Jay and Clint decided to show the kids how it's done.
Maggie getting some good air.
Next up, Avery.  It's a good thing these kids aren't afraid of heights.

Sunday

Sunday morning John Henry discovered grass.  He wasn't sure what to make of it at first.
Then he realized that he could dig his hands in.
Definitely a kid that loves the outdoors.
Then it was off to our third pool.  We spent the afternoon with cousin Holland and Aunt Sherridan.
Chillin with Daddy
Holland, our little fish.
Daddy made everyone margaritas.  John Henry tried to sneak a sip and Jay had to pull it away.  We blame it on the teething...
Monday
Monday turned into a low key day.  We tried to go back to the pool but the bad weather rolled in so we ended up at Sherridan's house.  Holland had to show John Henry what to do with his flag.
After waving flags, Aunt Sherridan tried to hold John Henry.  This didn't go over well with Holland who screamed, "My baby, my baby!"
She had a pretty good choke hold on him and wouldn't loosen it until we backed up.  No one was taking her baby!
All she wanted to do was kiss him.
And pinch his cheeks.
Group hug!
